Relocating To Reno

Reno is a great place to live

Reno is located at the foot of magnificent Sierra Mountain Range to the West, and the vast Nevada desert to the East. Beautiful Mount Rose can be seen anywhere from the high desert valley floor in Reno. The Truckee Meadows, consisting of the Reno- Sparks metropolitan area, has nearly five-hundred-thousand residents. Lake Tahoe is only a 45 minute drive away.

There is much more to Reno than Casinos. Reno is a place you can mountain bike or hike with wild horses in the morning, ski in the afternoon, and watch the sunset from a kayak on Lake Tahoe in the evening. Nestled at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and at the edge of the Great Basin the beauty ranges from alpine wilderness to wide open high desert. The weather is never too hot, and never too cold, with over 252 sunny days a year. If it is Art you are into, Reno dedicates the entire month of July to Artown, where one can participate in several different artistic presentations – from concerts and theatrical performances to visual and performing arts – each day all month long. Lake Tahoe is only a 45 minute drive from Reno, Sacramento is two hours away, and San Francisco is only a four hour drive or 30 minute plane flight.

Proximity to Rudolf Steiner College

Reno is a scenic two hour drive over the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range to Rudolf Steiner College. We are proud to have sent a continual flow of teachers to RSC each year. Included in all of our teacher contracts is scholarship money for trainings at RSC.
