Early Childhood Substitute
Nevada Sage Waldorf School is seeking experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic teachers to work with the young children of our school, bringing warmth, consistency, and rhythm to our early childhood program. Our mixed-age classrooms serve children ages 2–6. This part-time, on-call position offers flexibility while ensuring ample opportunities to work, as there is always a need for substitutes within our program. Substitutes play an essential role in supporting our faculty and maintaining the daily flow of the classroom when teachers are absent. Responsibilities: Provide a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment for young children. Support the established rhythm and routines of the classroom. Work collaboratively with faculty and staff to maintain a consistent and caring experience for children. Engage children in daily activities including free play, circle time, snack, outdoor play, and rest. Follow school policies and licensing requirements to ensure the safety and well-being of all children. Schedule & Compensation: On-call, part-time position, Monday–Friday between 7:15 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Flexible scheduling based on school needs. Compensation: $18. Requirements: Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Child Abuse & Neglect Central Registry (CANS/CAIC) background clearances. Must register with the Nevada Registry and remain current with Nevada licensing requirements for Childcare Centers. Must provide proof of a negative TB test. CPR/First Aid certification required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting. Familiarity with or interest in Waldorf education. 1st Grade Class Teacher
