About the event
Movement and Learning Workshop with Guest Speaker Kate Hammond
Movement is the foundation for both learning and a healthy start in life. But in what ways does movement support literacy skills, development, and the maturation process?
In this workshop, Kate Hammond will invite us to consider the natural movements that unfold as children grow and how these movements shape the body, the sense of self, and a child’s relationship to the world. We will also explore how parents and educators can support this process at home and in school, along with the role that play, sports, and hobbies have in building a strong foundation for learning.
This evening will be meaningful for families with children in Early Childhood through 8th Grade.
